How do we tell Mr Rob Parkhouse this?

Dear Mr Bradshaw

Further to my
earlier email ref the letter from Rob Parkhouse at the DCC, who has the
impressive title in the subject title.

Wow that is really
some title!

Would you be so
kind as to inform the Strategy Manager he has got his fax and telephone numbers
mixed up?

I would send him
an email had I not been on a lifetime email ban.

With thanks

Countess Weir Roundabout

There is none so blind as those that don’t wish to see.

Dear Mr Bradshaw

I am of the opinion that a large number of public officials in Exeter fit
into the subject title category, including your good-self.

I am shocked and appalled at the road and pavement layout near the West of
England Blind School and Countess Weir Roundabout.

The failure to provide tactile paving slabs at a road crossing for the blind
and partially sighted along Topsham Road in close proximity to a Blind School is
little short of criminal negligence.

Mr Bradshaw, do you not recognise such dangers when you are out and
about on your bike? I rather suspect you are willfully blind to such serious
issues.
There is absolutely no justification whatsoever, that tactile safety pavements have been omitted in this specific area.

I do believe this area was covered by the New Mayor in his beat.

Yours sincerely

Roundabout

Dear Mr Bradshaw

I am sending this
photograph of the Countess Weir roundabout again and in particular the
pedestrian crossing, which in my opinion is a death trap because this
pedestrian crossing has not (repeat not) been provisioned with any of the
following:-

1. Tactile pavement.

2. Audio safe to
cross buzzer.

3. Visual Aid
Green Man screen.This Pedestrian
Crossing is a death-trap.

To compound
matters, it is a pedestrian crossing on a dual carriage on the busiest roundabout
in Exeter.

I call upon my MP
to inform the traffic police about this health and safety irregularity.

The photograph was
taken facing towards the City Centre. I find it difficult to believe or accept
that nobody from Devon County Council
has seen this timebomb. What about you
Mr B? Have you not seen it in your
travels?

With thanks

Yours sincerely

Devon County Council gags its FOI team

Dear Mr Bradshaw MP

Could this be just one of the reasons why Devon County Council has put
a gagging order on their FOI team.

The DCC deny all knowledge of this particular school. No doubt if Jimmy
Saville were still alive he could help them remember some of the heinous crimes
committed.

Yours in disgust

Health and Safety failures – who cares about the kids?

Devon County Council Posted on Mon, May 19, 2014 19:30:07

Email sent – 19 May 2014 17:28

Dear Mr Bradshaw

As you are aware,
I have made several complaints to you about the H&S failures at this
location and couple of my complaints have been addressed ie the ECO drains at
the top of the steps in the first courtyard and the lightning protection danger
of the gate nearest the Basin.

There are still a
number of H&S issues that have not been addressed and I urge my MP to write
to the College and the DCC seeking assurances this climbing centre is fit for
purpose.

I am of the
opinion it is not safe and should be subjected to a full H&S audit. Three
biggest dangers on this site currently are:

1. The Gas
installation is non-compliant.

2. The Lightning
Protection System is non-compliant.

3. The hand rail
safety rails ( inner side) are non-compliant.

All 4 issues carry
life threatening ramifications to the end user of this facility.

My offer to meet
you and the management team to discuss these issues remains open.

In the event of a
serious injury or death at this location, it is highly probable the public liability
insurance would be revoked. If my allegations are correct, to which I hold no
doubt whatsoever, it raises the question of why this facility was accepted by
the local planning authority.

With thanks

Yours
sincerely

Road Accidents

Subject: RECENT SPATE OF ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS IN DEVON

Dear Mr Bradshaw

There have been numerous road traffic accidents in Devon over the past 18months which have been attributed to poor weather conditions. Another serious traffic accident occurred today on the A380

I believe these accidents are being caused by inferior road works and poor quality hot rolled asphalt, which has been used as a cost cutting exercise.

I would like to make a FOIA request to the Devon County Council but it would be pointless as they would surely refuse it on vexatious grounds.

However, I would call upon my MP to seek assurances from the DCC that appropriate asphalt testing is undertaken and in particular the Asphalt Surface Friction Properties Testing.

With thanks

A tragic death

Subject: DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL INQUEST TO DEATH OF ROUGH SLEEPER 2012

Dear Mr Bradshaw MP

The inquest yesterday returned a verdict of accidental death regarding the unfortunate death of the rough sleeper Miss Conroy back in 2012 on the Inner Bypass.

Could this death have been avoided? I rather suspect it could have been avoided if the DCC had carried out their due diligence to inspect mature trees along with their Policy and Procedures and Legal Requirements.

This tree was over 300 years old; therefore DCC records should hold the last inspection date of this particular tree but unfortunately the DCC won’t release such information to me as they consider all FOIA requests from Dransfield as vexatious.

I call upon my MP to submit a FOIA request to the DCC for details on this specific tree. I pride myself on being very observant and there are a number of trees and walls in and around Exeter which look as though they are on their last legs. Surely, prevention is better than cure. Hence, I call upon my MP to write to the DCC seeking assurance they are compliant with legal requirements.

There have been a number of high profile wall collapses in Exeter (and wind turbines) e.g St Davids Hill, Exeter Football Club, Dawlish Warren and whilst I accept Mother Nature has been involved with all examples, I hold serious doubts if preventative medicine had been taken or even prescribed.

This good fortune and good luck cannot be expected to continue indefinitely. Polite reminder (20th time for HSE report on collapsed wind turbines).

With thanks

Yours sincerely
